37 Week Update

I am officially full-term today! So exciting! We had quite the crazy morning around here to celebrate :-/ David got up super early to go to his Thursday Bible Study. While he was in the shower, I heard Aubrey cry out. It was 4:50AM, people. I went to comfort her and give her the paci, and she seemed like she was going right back to sleep. About 10 minutes later, she cried out again. David went to her this time. This repeated itself about 3 times, and David needed to leave. So, I went to her room and got her. I figured since it was still so early and dark outside, she would go back to sleep if I put her in the bed with me. Wrong! We stayed in bed for a little while, and I finally just gave up. So, yeah, I was awake for the day at 4:50. Oh, and it was almost midnight when we went to bed the night before. Lovely. Aubrey was in a fine mood when we got up, so I'm still not sure what the problem was.

Later, Aubrey and I were hanging out in the office. I was on the computer and she was playing in the floor. She stood up suddenly and ran to the front window and started saying, "Knightly!!" I didn't see anything and figured she just saw a cat or another dog. I thought I might should go check the backyard, just in case. Sure enough, our dumb dog was GONE. I tell you what, our whole household just falls apart when David leaves early!

Everything ended up ok. I put Aubrey down for a nap at 8:3o, and she slept for 4 hours. I was able to get a short nap in too, which helped a ton. We did get our precious (haha) dog back after some drama that included the crazy really concerned woman showing up on our door step all in a tizzy because our dog was out, and a sweet older woman who doesn't even like dogs "babysitting" him all afternoon until I could go pick him up. Ahhhh....

And then it was time to go to my doctor's appointment. It actually went well! I had a sonogram, and the baby looks perfect! Unfortunately, no pictures :( My fluid level is great, Jude is head down, and he is growing! His estimated weight as of now is 6 pounds, 13 ounces. That's bigger than I was expecting since Aubrey only weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces when she was born! Of course, that is only an estimate, and they do say that is give or take a pound. However, my doctor said with my size (haha -- it's not like I'm that small) she doesn't want him to be TOO big when he is born. So... she mentioned inducing somewhere in my 39th week. I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, I would love to get Jude here ASAP, and an induction would be really convenient, especially with Aubrey. Also, I don't want him to end up so big that I need a c-section. On the other hand, I really didn't want to be induced. I know inductions go well most of the time, but I just had a really good experience last time when I went into labor on my own, so I figured why mess with that? I do trust my doctor though, and will ultimately probably go with whatever she recommends. I was 1 cm dilated and 40% effaced, so she said we would see if I've made any progress next week and discuss an induction then.

So, our crazy day did end on a positive note :) We are so excited to be this close to meeting our little baby, induction or not!!

What a crazy day. Hopefully she sleeps longer tomorrow morning.

I SERIOUSLY lol'ed at the part where Aubrey saw Knightly out the window as he made his get away.

AP didn't take a nap again today. I know I'm crazy, but when she does that I get SO scared she's never going to take another one! HA!

I can't believe we're getting so close to missing Jude. It seems like it has flown by (probably not to you!).

We are all so excited that Jude will be here so soon (hopefully on his own)!
