Show Us Where You Live Friday -- Nursery Edition

I'm excited about this week of Kelly's home tour because I love Aubrey's nursery! I've already rearranged it once since she was born, and I'm really happy with this arrangement. I haven't posted pictures of the new arrangement, so this will be new for my regular readers too :o) Click here for a reminder of what the room looked like before.

So here goes. My nursery. Aubrey's room. This is the view when you walk in the door.
I wanted something bright and cheerful. I wanted it to look like a baby's room, but I didn't want a "cutesy" nursery and I did NOT want a themed nursery. (Some theme rooms can be really cute, I just didn't think I could pull it off.) One thing I had to have in the nursery was a chandelier. I LOVE chandeliers for little girls. I found this sweet, dainty one online and I think it's perfect in here! I went with dark wood furniture since we installed the white wainscotting. I thought the dark wood would really pop against the white.
I had a pretty sleigh bed crib picked out, and after waiting weeks for it to come in, they told me they weren't making it in the dark wood anymore. So we went with this four-poster crib instead. I'm so glad I did, because I really love this crib. It's pretty and unique. Just goes to show that all things happen for a reason :o)
I love Aubrey's bedding. I had it made from Pine Creek. We decided to have an "H" for our last name monogrammed on it in case we have more girls we can reuse it.The painting over her bed is a verse I especially love. I like that it hangs over her bed because I pray for the Lord to watch over her as she sleeps every nightThis little lamp over on her changing table is a cheap lamp that I just got at Target. I found this super cute trim that matches her bedding perfectly and glued it onto the shade. I think it turned out great. We got these cute letters in Aubrey's monogram to hang on the wall.
These are pictures from her 3 month photo shoot. My cousin made the awesome frame for me.
This table is great to have beside our glider. We framed one of her birth announcements to display in her room. This is another Target lamp :o)
So, that's Aubrey's room! I think it's a sweet, cheerful room for my sweet girl! Thanks for stopping my by my blog. I love comments so please let me know you stopped by! We're glad you came and hope you will come back! :o)
