Oh, hey. Remember me?

So.... I know I totally dropped off the face of the earth this past month. I wish I had a super exciting excuse like a new house or a new baby, but I don't. My only excuse is Christmas and family time and getting back into a routine after holidays and just LIFE. Pretty valid excises, right? ;) I also put this pressure on myself to come back to blogging with a huge recap of the past month complete with a million pictures. And frankly, I'm just not really feeling that. Haha! So, I put off blogging some more. And then I finally decided to just jump back in. No one really cares to see 10,000 pictures of my kids opening Christmas presents, anyway. Ha! I might eventually post some more Christmas pictures. Or I might not. We'll just see :) For now, here's a quick recap of the past month:

-We had a wonderful Christmas! We went to my grandparents' house on Christmas Eve like we always do, and then on Christmas Day, we had my family and David's family over for dinner. We kept it really simple with soup and chili, and it was perfect. Great day!
-David had almost 2 weeks off for Christmas and New Year's. That was AMAZING. Seriously, when he's home, it's like I get a mini vacation :) He lets me sleep in and helps SO much with the kids. I'm so spoiled! :) We didn't get any major projects or anything like that done, but we enjoyed our low-key days together. We were sad when he had to go back to work.
-Things on the house selling front had been REALLY slow. Just in the past couple of weeks, it has picked up a little and we've had several showings. Still no offers, though. We did hear that we had made someone's "top two" again. We've heard that SO many times that it has pretty much lost its meaning. Haha! We are praying for a sell this spring or summer. Or before.... :) David and I went and looked at some more houses recently. That brings our grand totally up to 26 houses. I can't believe we've seen that many houses. Basically, we have no idea which house we'd go with at this point if our house sold. We are just going to wait and see what's available when that time comes.
-The BIG event around here right now is our Disney trip that is coming up! We are leaving on Saturday, and we are SO EXCITED!! David and I told Aubrey and Jude about the trip on Christmas morning, and their reactions were priceless:
Umm, yeah. We're going to Disney? Pass the applesauce please. Hahaha! I'm so glad we got that on video. I know we'll be laughing about it for years. They have since decided that they are VERY excited. Especially Aubrey. She can't stop talking about it. I hope it lives up to her expectations. I can't wait to experience this with my family! (Fun fact: this is MY first trip to Disney too! I don't know who is more excited :)) We are going to miss Alaina SO much while we're gone (she's staying with grandparents). I've already gotten sad about leaving her. We'll just have to plan another trip to Disney in the not-too-distant future when she is a little older!

I can't wait to blog about our fun week coming up! It feels good to blog again. Hoping I can keep it up now that I got the recap post out of the way! :)

So glad you're back. Also, NEVER let me talk smack about your kids pjs again. Those snowmen are the cutest thing I've ever seen! Seriously. Maybe I should blog less, because I felt like every picture on here was amazing. Or maybe you just have precious kids. XOXO.

Y'all will have so much fun at Disney!! I had been several times as a child, and I think taking my own child was truly the most "magical" Disney trip ever!
