22 Weeks

Is it just me or does this look more like a 30 week belly? Ha! Whatever... I embrace the bump! :)

Pregnancy Highlights
How Far Along: 22 weeks
Size of baby: She is about 10.5 inches and 12.7 ounces -- about the size of a papaya!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'll find out at my doctor's appointment on Thursday. And I'm kind of scared that my OB is going to be mad. She's kind of a weight nazi ;-/
Maternity Clothes: Oh yes. I'm getting so tired of my 4 shirts. Although, we've had a warm spell, so I've been able to wear some of my short sleeved shirts which drastically expands my wardrobe. I think I have maybe 6 short sleeved shirts! Haha!
Movement: I'm finally feeling frequent, regular movement, and that makes me so happy! She usually has an active time somewhere mid to late morning, and she's active again in the evenings. I feel random little kicks and punches between those two active times :)
Gender: It's a GIRL!!! Her name is Alaina Ruth :)
Sleep: Sleep has been SO MUCH better at our house the past several nights. Thank God the kids are feeling better! I have had a more difficult time getting comfortable, though, so I'm hoping I'm not coming to the uncomfortable stage already. It's going to be a long 18 weeks (approximately) if so... haha!
What I miss: Really, I'm not missing anything. I love this stage of pregnancy, so anything I miss pales to what I'm gaining :) (No put intended on the gaining part. Ha!)
Cravings: No big cravings. The other night, I was really in the mood for hibachi food, but it wasn't strong enough for me to consider it a craving. I have been wanting a lot of salads and fresh food. Maybe that will stick around!
Symptoms: Round ligament pain when I make sudden movements. I've also been really hungry.... maybe Alaina Ruth is having a growth spurt ;)
Best Moment This Week: We had the cutest conversation with Aubrey about Alaina last night. She was telling us everything she is going to share with her baby sister. It was just so sweet! She said, "When Alaina 'Roof' gets bigger, I'm going to share my panties and my potty with her!" Haha! And then she added, "Maybe Jude can share his diapers!" I guess she was concerned about Alaina being properly equipped to go to the bathroom? Ha! Aubrey also asked me if Alaina had on a diaper in my belly. Which led her to ask when Alaina got in my belly anyway? I told her God put Alaina in my belly several months ago :) Another fun moment was finding the dresser for the nursery and seeing how cute it looks in the room. I just can't wait to get everything ready for Alaina Ruth :)
What I Am Looking Forward To: I'm excited about my doctor's appointment this week. It's always nice to hear all is well.
