17 Weeks

I can only imagine how massive I'm going to be by the end of this pregnancy ;)

Pregnancy Highlights
How Far Along: 17 weeks
Size of baby: He or she is about 5.1 inches and 5.9 ounces -- about the size of an onion!
Total Weight Gain/Loss: I have no idea how much weight I've gained. I avoid the scale ;)
Maternity Clothes: Yes, on the pants. I can still wear regular shirts if they're long enough. I need to go maternity clothes shopping though. I have about 2 pairs of pants and 4 shirts to choose from. Ha!
Movement: A few times this past week, I felt something that made me go, "Hmmm... was that the baby??" I'm going to say yes. It makes me feel better to assume that what I'm feeling is the baby moving, so I will just assume that ;) However, it's nothing regular or frequent at this point.
Gender: We find out NEXT WEEK! So excited! I really go back and forth on what I think the baby's gender is. At first, I was really thinking girl, but now I'm kind of leaning toward a boy. We will be so excited either way!
Sleep: I've found that on days that I take a nap, I'm don't sleep as well that night. This has NEVER been a problem for me before. But it's such a cycle, because when I don't sleep well at night, I want to take a nap the next day. No fun! It's not too bad at this point. I'm still sleeping well at night for the most part.
What I miss: Having options on what to wear. I literally don't have any fall maternity clothes, so getting dressed is becoming more of a challenge as the belly is growing ;)
Cravings: I haven't had any cravings this week. I'm thinking some fair food sounds REALLY good, but that's just because the fair is in town and I've been thinking about it. Elephant ears... yum!
Symptoms: I have been more emotional than usual lately. David and I saw Courageous the other night, and I sobbed through the whole thing. I do think it's a movie I would have cried in anyway, but not as much as I did. There have been a few other times when I've felt on the verge of tears over VERY small things. I'm not normally a big crier, so I blame this on the pregnancy!
Best Moment This Week: David and I talked about names some more, so that was fun! No decisions have been made though. We're especially having a hard time with girl names, which is unusual for us. Also, we talked a little bit about the ultrasound and how we're going to tell our families the gender. Since we're finding out on a Wednesday, we were trying to decide whether to do a gender reveal get together like we did for Jude or not. We'd have to wait till the weekend, so I'm not sure I want to wait that long to tell. Whatever we decide, David and I will be going to the ultrasound alone. We just like doing it like that best because it's a really special, private moment for us. Since it is our baby and our news, it's fun to be the only ones who know for a little while.
What I Am Looking Forward To: The ultrasound, of course! I feel like after we find out, the baby's existence will seem so much more real. We can decide on a name, start thinking about what we're going to do in the nursery (if anything), how we're going to do Jude's new room, etc. So exciting!

So exciting is right! You look so cute already! :)

I'm going to guess that you're having a boy this time! I can't wait to find out either!
