Week in Review: Let it Snow!

This has been a MUCH better week sleep-wise! That makes for a better week all around! Aubrey seems to have decided that she likes naps again. Let's hope this lasts for a very long time. :)

Sunday:
We went to church and Sunday School and then went to my grandparents' house for lunch to celebrate my little brother's birthday. We were supposed to eat at my parents' house but my mom had come down with a stomach bug :( After lunch we came home and took a nap. David went to church early for a meeting, so Aubrey and I met him there. After church we came home and watched what was left of the Super Bowl.

Monday: Aubrey slept late! She actually didn't wake up until 10:20. It was awesome! After she got up, we both got ready and went to Borders and Kroger. It had been forever since I had been to the grocery store and I think we would have starved if I hadn't gone that day! When we got home we had lunch and Aubrey took a nap (yay!). That night while David was at karate I went to our church's Ladies Night Out. Aubrey's Dee Dee (David's mom) came and watched her at church and she had fun playing. Aubrey was in bed by the time I got home, and I started my Book Club book for this month.

Tuesday: I had to wake Aubrey up at 8:30 because I was going to a Bible study. I have been wanting to start going to this Bible Study forever, but it seems like Aubrey is always either sick or it's right in the middle of her naptime or something else is going on. Well, this week I decided that we were going. Period. I really enjoyed it, and I'm so glad I went. This Bible Study has a lot of sweet older ladies in it, and they were all so excited that a "young person" would want to come to their Bible Study. It was really cute. Aubrey had a great time playing in the nursery while I was in the Bible Study. After we got home it was lunch and naptime. Aubrey took another great nap. Hopefully that's becoming a habit again! That evening we just hung out at home. I cooked Mexican Lasagna and watched American Idol and 19 Kids and Counting.

Wednesday: Aubrey and I hung out at home all day. I started the painting project in our living room/kitchen by doing some cutting in. Aubrey took a nice long nap, and I got ready for church. David went to visit his grandmother after work, so we met him at church. I went to Bible Study -- we started a new study on a book called Respectable Sins. I think it's going to be a good study.

Thursday: We went to the grocery store shortly after Aubrey woke up. When we got home, I tried getting some stuff done around the house. While Aubrey napped I cooked a meal to take to Kendra who just had sweet baby Layne. When David got home from work, the three of us went to deliver the meal. We were going to go straight from there to karate, but my mom called us when we were on the way and said that karate had been canceled because of the bad weather that was supposed to come in later that night. So we just went to Abner's for dinner instead and then made a stop at Wal-Mart to get a few paint supplies. We ended up having a nice evening at home instead of being at karate.

Friday: We woke up to a winter wonderland! David ended up not having to go to work because the power was out at his office. It worked out really well because we were able to have a blast playing in the snow as a family, and we were also able to get a lot of painting done. After we played in the snow, Aubrey and I got ready and met Sarah Denley and Ann Peyton for lunch at Mellow Mushroom. Yes, we braved the blizzard to go have lunch. Sadly, Ashley wasn't able to make it that day (she and SD had lunch the day before since our schedules just weren't working out) but it ended up being good that SD and I were meeting somewhere that was really close to where we live. We aren't used to driving in the snow! Anyway, we had a great lunch! After Aubrey and I got home she took a nap, and I helped David paint. When Aubrey woke up David and I wrapped up the painting and then went to dinner at Newk's to give the paint time to dry. We came home and just hung out for the rest of the night.

Saturday: My mom was going to a wedding, so she wasn't able to go shopping with my grandmother and me like normal. I cooked lunch for David, Aubrey, and me and then Aubrey went down for a nap. While she was sleeping I ran a few errands. My grandmother and I went to a few stores -- for some reason everywhere was packed! You would have thought it was the week before Christmas with these crowds! Anyway, I got a few things for the house like a bulletin board for the kitchen and two pillows for the couch. When I got home, I gave David a haircut and then we went to dinner. We went to a hibachi place. We thought Aubrey would enjoy it, but the fire scared her to death!! Poor baby. She jumped about a mile and then cried. She ended up sitting in my lap the whole time after that. I think she had fun though :) After dinner we went to Lowes to get some outlet covers and then came home. Now we're just hanging out.

So, it was a good week! I'm hoping it warms up next week so we can go to the park or at least play outside. I'm tired of the cold.

How do you get Aubrey to sleep so late? What time does she go to bed? I would love for Evie to sleep past 7. I am sure you are glad to have completed some painting. We have three more rooms to go and are trying to figure out a plan. Carl does not paint happily!

Glad you are making progress on your house. :) I am absolutely in shock that Aubrey slept that late!
Today Chickfila did not have 10 minutes of slow time which is really unusual for us, even on a Saturday. I have NO idea why everyone went shopping today!
