House Update

Yesterday, after only 2 weeks on the market, we received on offer on our house. That was exciting! Unfortunately, it was an extremely low offer. Like, so low that we would be losing some major money on the house. Plus, they want us to replace all the carpet. Now, this is a little odd to me because we've only lived in our house for 3 years (almost) and our house was new when we bought it. The carpet is perfectly fine. It's not stained or worn out. Whatever. We countered with a higher price and said we would clean the carpet. Frankly, I don't have high hopes that this one is going to work out. If I'm wrong that would be great, but I'm not holding my breath. Even if this one doesn't work out, it was encouraging to at least get an offer. It tells me that someone at least liked our house, and if one person liked it there will probably be another one who likes it too. Make any sense? Well, good!

Some other people looked at our house last night. Even though it's stressful trying to get the house in tip top shape while taking care of a busy toddler, there is one perk. Our house is so so clean! It's nice! It's decluttered and mopped and vacuumed... ahhh. I love a clean house. Unfortunatly, most of the clutter that we had to get rid of now lives in my car :o) There's no hiding junk in closets when your house is on the market! Anyway, we'll see what happen on this offer/counter-offer...
