Flashback Friday!

I decided I'd do a little flashback Friday today just for the fun of it and for lack of anything better to post. (Stay tuned for pictures from the new camera -- We've taken tons, but I'm afraid I'm not really sure how to upload them to the computer. Pathetic, I know. I'll have to wait until my sweet husband is home to help me. But they're coming! I'm loving my new camera! :0))

Anyway, this time two years ago David and I were vacationing in the great city of Chicago! I've been thinking about that trip a lot this past week. I absolutely loved the Windy City! We had so much fun on that trip, and I look back on it fondly very often. There is just so much to see and do in Chicago, and even though we were there for 8 days, I know we barely scratched the surface. I would love to go back one day. I just enjoyed being in a big city, so maybe we'll try another city next time. While we were there we saw the Blue Man Group, went on a sunset cruise, ate lots of good food, went to Field Museum, went to Shedd Aquarium, saw Wicked (my favorite!!), went to the zoo, went to the top of the Sears Tower, rode in cabs and thought we were going to get killed they drove so crazy, and many other things.

When you're in the middle of raising an infant sometimes it feels like you'll never get to travel and do those kinds of things again. Now, I know this isn't really true since we got to go to Keystone, Colorado back in March and had a blast. I guess I just look back fondly on the Chicago trip because I now realize how footloose and fancy-free were were back then before Aubrey came along. Not a care in the world. But as fun as those times were, I wouldn't go back for a second. This little girl has made life so much sweeter! :o) Well, I'm done reminiscing for the day I guess :o) Does anyone else ever just get the itch to go on a trip??
