Pictures of the Nursery Progress!

I thought I would post some pictures of the nursery. Here is a "Before" shot of the room. It used to be a guest bedroom.
The walls look almost black in these pictures, but they were really a dark eggplant purple. We cleared the room out and ripped the baseboards off the walls. The room then looked like this:

On Saturday we started painting! My mom came over and helped us, so we were able to get it finished in a day. It helped that we were only painting the top half of the room since we're installing wainscoting on the lower half. It took 2 coats of tinted primer and 2 coats of paint. Yeah, the walls were VERY dark before. These pictures are David and my mom working hard! I did help too, I just didn't want to post any pictures of me since I wasn't looking too lovely that day. ;-)

This is David's wall art. Isn't he so sweet? :-)

And here is what the nursery looks like now!

Still a work in progress, obviously, but I think it's already a drastic change! David is going to install the wainscoting soon. Hopefully that will go smoothly. Our furniture will probably come in sometime this week or next week. So I should have pictures of more progress soon!

While I'm doing a picture post, I'll post a belly picture since I haven't done one in a while. This is 27 weeks. Big, huh? :-) And I have 13 more weeks to go!

The room looks totally different! I can't wait to see the finished product with the furniture and everything in there. I hope David can install the wainscoting with ease! You're welcome for helping! Love, Mom

You look so beautiful! I can't wait to see what the room will look like when it's done.
