Big Guy(s)

I posted pictures of Alaina recently wearing these "Big Guy" pajamas and explained that all three of our kids (two of whom happen to be girls, as you know...) have worn them. Random, I know. They were given to us for Jude when he was an infant. Aubrey had outgrown most of her pajamas, we were probably scrounging to find some that fit her one night, and David put these boy pj's on her. It was probably mostly a joke at first, but then she actually ended up wearing them regularly. Ha! I wasn't overly amused about seeing my baby girl looking like a BOY at first, but I decided that wasn't really a battle worth fighting ;) After all, David puts Aubrey to bed every night, and if he wants to dress her in boy pj's... well, who am I to complain?? :) Jude of course wore the pajamas when he was big enough, and now we're continuing the tradition with Alaina :) I thought this deserved a little comparison post!

Here is Aubrey in the "BIG GUY" pajamas:
And then Jude took his turn as the "BIG GUY" (By the way, I couldn't find any great pictures of Jude in the pajamas.... I guess it wasn't quite as epic when our son wore these pj's. Imagine that?):
Now, currently, Alaina is our resident "BIG GUY":
I love that my girls look about as thrilled to be wearing these pajamas as I was to see them in the pajamas. Haha!

It's so fun for me to look back at old pictures! I love seeing how similar and how different our children look. I think the girls definitely favor each other more than Jude. I need to do more comparison posts!

I can't wait to see who the next "BIG GUY" in the Howie family will be! :)

Gosh, do you know how much I love a comparison study?? I think it's precious and I love that the girls for some reason look so feminine in them (e.g. Aubrey's toenails). Also, this is crazy but when I first glanced at the post I saw the picture of Aubrey at the top and I though "Wow, what a weird picture of Alaina. That doesn't look much like her." Haha, they do resemble more than I realized!

Carrie, I would recommend "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern. I think it was my favourite out of all the ones we've read so far.

Definitely let me know any of the books you've read and liked! That's one thing my fellow book club members tease me about -- I never come with a pick! I just don't have the time or know-how to pick a good book.

My only book pick for the club was "The Power of Habit", a non-fiction book about habits. I found it fascinating, but NO ONE ELSE FINISHED IT!! How embarrassing! :p

Thanks for the suggestions!! I hope The Night Circus doesn't disappoint! Like I said, I haven't found any of the books we've read to be AMAZING, but definitely enjoyable!
