Home for the Holidays 2012

Ok, I wrote this post last week and thought it had published. But then I noticed that it was saved as a draft. Ughhh. I have no idea what happened. Actually, I think I was working on this post about the time Aubrey started puking last week, so that probably got my flustered. Ha! So now my Christmas decoration post is even later than I thought it was going to be. Oh well.

Since I know everyone is on the edge of their seats waiting to find out if I'll be posting our most recent pictures next or staying in chronological order until I catch up, I'll go ahead and tell you. I decided to go ahead and post all of our Christmas stuff, and I'll just keep trucking along with the catch-up posts until I'm done. Maybe I'll do a thow-back Thursday or a flash-back Friday every week for the older stuff. We'll see....

So, moving along. Christmas! We had a wonderful December. I loved our decorations, I was happy with our Christmas card, we did some fun holiday things, and it was just a great time of year, like it always is. I'm kind of over it now, though, and I'm ready to move forward with a fresh new year, as most people are. That's one reason I wanted to go ahead and post the Christmas stuff now. Anyway, here are some pictures of our Christmas decorations (that still haven't come down -- ugh).

As you can probably tell from the pictures, I'm really into a "rustic Christmas" look these days. I love decorating with burlap and antlers (thanks to my dad and brothers!). I also just put greenery in with our all the time decorations, and call it a day. I love how warm our house feels at Christmas!
