This and That

We had Jude's newborn photo session this morning. He slept through the whole thing! No eyes in any of these pictures, but that's ok with me. I like sleepy newborn pictures :) Plus, I would rather have a sleeping, quiet baby than an awake crying one! Aubrey was semi-cooperative for the pictures. At the beginning, she was doing everything the photographer was telling her to, but when she was over it, she was DONE! So who knows if there will be any cute ones with the two of them. The pictures should be up by Thursday, so we'll see!

Since I blogged about our awful night a few nights ago, I thought I should give an update. It's only fair to share the good as well as the bad! Jude is SUCH a sweet baby. I really can't complain at all. Ever since that one awful sleepless night, he has been doing great! He has been going right to sleep when we put him in bed, and I have to set an alarm and wake him up every 3 hours to eat. He then goes right back to sleep. It's wonderful! He is doing great at nursing too. Of course, the true test will be when we go to the pediatrician on Friday and see how much he weighs. I'm praying he will be back up to his birth weight and we won't have to wake him up to eat at night anymore! He is eating about every 2 hours during the day and every 3 at night.Speaking of nursing, Aubrey has been pretty interested in what's going on when I'm feeding Jude. I've just told her that I'm giving Jude milk. She will then ask, "Aubey milk?" I just respond to that by telling her that her milk is in the refrigerator. Haha!As for me, I'm feeling just fine. I was able to get a lot of rest yesterday when David and Aubrey were at church. I'm supposed to go back to the doctor at some point this week to have my blood pressure checked. I'm praying that it's resolved itself and I won't have to deal with it for much longer. I'm still taking a pill for my blood pressure. I read that some women have to stay on medicine for high blood pressure for months after their babies are born. I'm praying that won't be the case for me!David went back to work this afternoon after our photo shoot. I was a little nervous about how things would go with me here by myself, but so far they have been great! Right now both of the babies are napping. It feels very normal to be at home by myself with my children. That's definitely a good feeling! I know we will have some challenging days, but I'm happy I'm able to stay home and take care of my sweet babies! :)Oh, in the midst of having a new baby, we also have several projects going on around the house (of course). We are finishing up Jude and Aubrey's rooms and we had book shelves built in our office. We love the way they turned out, so I should have lots of pictures to post when we finish these projects (hopefully soon!).

he is SUCH a cutie! glad you are feeling better and adjusting to life with two babies. i was about aubrey's age when my mom had my little sister. she says that i used to pretend to "nurse" my baby dolls when she was nursing my little sister - hahaha! so don't be alarmed if aubrey starts giving her babies "milk" ;0)
praying for your blood pressure to resolve itself!

He is so beautiful...seriously! I can't wait to see pictures of everything. You know me! :) I'm glad to hear you're doing okay...I've been thinking about you, now being the mother of two. LOVE YOU!!! P.S. Did you use the same photographer?

What a cutie!!! Love the picture with his feet curled together. I can't wait to see the professional pics! I definitely see a resemblance from when Aubrey was a newborn (based on what I remember from her pictures).

You're doing a great job Momma! :)
