Jude turned 2 weeks old yesterday! Hard to believe. He had his 2 week checkup with the pediatrician yesterday afternoon. Everything looked great. I was really hoping he would be back up to his birth weigh. You may remember that he weighed 7lbs, 12oz at birth. When he was 4 days old, he weighed 7lbs, 2oz. Well, yesterday, at 2 weeks old, he weighed 8lbs, 4oz! Whoo! I was happy about that :) I feel like that means that all the waking him in every 3 hours in the middle of the night and feeding him every 2 hours during the day paid off. It was worth it! His doctor said since his weight gain was so good, we could stop waking him up at night. So last night we just let him sleep, and he went 5 hours! I don't know if that's too long, but it sure was nice! He only went 3 hours the next time, but getting that one longer stretch of sleep makes a huge difference!
The doctor said everything else looked good too. His umbilical cord hasn't fallen off yet, but it's getting close. His little circumcision ring is still on too. Hopefully that will come off soon, because having to deal with that and clean his belly button makes diaper changes a little more complicated. We have gotten tee teed and pooped on more than once! Ha! Plus, I'm ready to give him a real bath :)
We were so happy to get a good report on our growing boy! I'm going to pump a bottle and introduce that this weekend. Hopefully he'll like it :) Jude is such a joy, and we are so thankful he is healthy!

Way to go Carrie! Jude loves his milk. That's so reassuring. I always worried that Evie was not getting enough milk. I saw the pictures yesterday and your family is so beautiful. Jude and Aubrey look adorable together. I might have a touch of babyfever now.
