The downfall to being a toddler...

... is that sometimes your little face looks like this!Aubrey was playing in the church parking lot on Sunday night while we stood around talking. She was playing with one of my brothers, and my back was to her. All of the sudden, my mom gasped and I heard screaming. Aubrey had taken a tumble. I ran to her, grabbed her, and ran inside with her. Poor baby was screaming and holding her face. David got some ice, and we finally (after what felt like forever) got her calmed down enough to see that she was ok. I was honestly worried she would have a concussion and we would need to go to the ER. We realized that her face was more scraped up than anything. Her arm was also all scratched up, and her poor little tongue was bleeding because she apparently bit it when she fell :(She was extremely clingy to mommy for a while after her fall (which was FINE with me!) but otherwise, she was fine. My brother felt awful, but it could have happened with anyone watching her. Toddlers just fall sometimes, sadly. We consider it a miracle that as active and reckless as Aubrey is, we haven't had any serious injuries. We are very thankful and pray for continued protection for her!(These pictures were taken the night she fell. We expected her face to look horrible the next day, but it was actually much better. Now all that's left is a slight bruise and a few scratches.)

Poor Aubrey! Good to see her sweet face even if she took a fall! We are thinking of going to Seaside and taking Evie with us. Do you have any scoop that would help us? We will probably get a cottage unless you think Evie would do okay at the inn. We want her to have her own little nook since she is a light sleeper. You can email me if it is easier.
