It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Just thought I would write a little something since I haven't posted lately. David pretty much summed up what we've been up to in his last post though. Nothing overly exciting. As he said, Aubrey has been going through a bit of a "mommy stage." One one hand, it's really sweet and it makes me feel loved when I'm the only one who can calm her down. After all, I spend basically all my time with her - we're together pretty much 24/7, so she should love me best! (Haha.) On the other hand though, it's frustrating because sometimes I just need a break! I would like to be able to leave her in the nursery and go to church. I feel like she's too young to have separation anxiety already! Hopefully it's just a little stage and it will pass soon. I feel bad for our families who want to hold her when they see her, and she's just too fussy! She's been a little better the past couple of days, so we'll see what happens with that.

In other news, she's discovered her hands! Her new favorite thing to do is suck on her hands. She goes to town on them. It's pretty cute. It unnerves me though, because when I see her sucking on her hands I worry that she's hungry. But I guess as long as she's happily sucking on them, she's fine. She would let me know if she's hungry. That girl isn't missing any meals. She's getting nice and chubby - I love it!

My mom came over yesterday to entertain Aubrey while I put up my Christmas decorations. They look pretty good. I'll have to post some pictures. My mom also took some pictures of me, David, and Aubrey when David got home from work. I was hoping to get a Christmas card picture. I wanted to take some outside, but it was really cold and by the time David got home it was dark. So we just took them inside. We got one that I liked well enough to use. I had to remind myself that I couldn't expect a perfect picture with an infant. Of course, the one that she looked the best in was not one that I was wild about of me. I didn't think it was the best angle for me. But it's not about me, so that's the one we used! :o) Since this is a pretty boring post, I'll close with a picture from yesterday. (Because a picture of Aubrey makes everything more exciting!) This sums up how she felt about the whole photo shoot. Not the picture we used, of course. ;o)
