I'm a hot mama...literally

I haven't posted any pictures of the belly lately. It's gotten big! I'm still amazed that I have this huge stomach... I don't know, it's just a really weird feeling. Sometimes I still have to do a double take when I walk by a mirror.

A lot of women have been telling me that they feel sorry for me in this heat. We went to a church picnic last night, and I literally had to go inside. I knew I had to do something when I realized I was fanning myself with my food plate! One sweet lady told me she understood how I felt. She said she carried 2 of her kids through the summer. She said, "No one can understand what it's like unless they've done it." That's so true! I had no idea I would be so hot all the time. When I say hot, I feel like that's an understatement. I feel like I have an electric blanket wrapped around me all the time. It would come in handy in the winter! :)

Anyway, here is a belly picture taken at 32 weeks: (I don't like the 33 week picture!)
Big, huh? According to my baby books, Aubrey should weigh around four and a half pounds now. She is gaining weight fast - about half a pound a week from now on. I can't wait to see her!

By the way, David has all of the weekly pregnancy pictures posted on his Picasa. If you care to see more you can go to http://picasaweb.google.com/phrotastic/CarrieAndBaby. We think it's neat to see the weekly progression, but I know not everyone would find it quite as interesting as we do. :) There is also an album of nursery photos showing all the progress.

Just looked at the Picasa. It is really cool to see the progression! I know y'all are so excited. I was pregnant with both of mine during summer, but it wasn't the end of the pregnancy. I can only imagine what you're going through. And let me tell you, winter doesn't help -- I wore no coat in winter and you know the day I had Carter it snowed. I was still so hot all the time but I imagine it must definitely be worse in a Mississippi summer!

I'm sorry that you've been so hot, but at least it's almost over. Just try to avoid going outside as much as possible. Love the belly!!
