We're going on a Trip!

We're leaving tomorrow to go to the beach with my family!! It's kind of become a tradition in the past several years. I'm so excited about having a week to relax and spend time with David and my family. It will be nice to have a vacation.

Since we're going to the beach, of course I have to have a bathing suit. Let me just say that bathing suit shopping is NOT fun. Bathing suit shopping when you're pregnant and feel like a fat cow is even worse. I finally had to just go into a store with the intention of finding one that I didn't HATE. I got one - don't hate it, don't love it by any means. Let's just say that I don't think there will be many pictures of me on the beach this year. I think I'll volunteer to be the photographer!

Next Saturday as soon as we get back from Florida, we're taking our dog, Knightly, to his second semester of obedience school. It's an 8 week course, and you go once a week. We took him to the puppy classes last year, so he is now ready for the intermediate classes. I must say, I'm kind of nervous about how he will perform. He does really well at home with no distractions. He can sit, stay, lay down, heel on a leash, and shake. He's supposed to do a command called "leave it" where theoretically you can put something on the ground, tell him to leave it, and he is supposed to pretty much ignore the object after that. He tries to be "sneaky" and gets on his stomach to crawl to the object and grab it. Right in front of our eyes. Did I mention that he is a 65 pound Boxer? Kind of hard to "sneak" by us. Good job, Knightly. Anyway, when he gets around other dogs in unfamiliar settings, he tends to get really excited and spaz out. That's why I'm nervous about his performance in the class. We'll see how he does.
