So we're less than two weeks away from our sonogram. I'm beginning to think I may be a little more excited about this than is natural. I feel like my life revolves around April 16th right now. Anytime I hear a random date, my mind automatically calculates how many days before or after that date is from the sonogram. That probably doesn't even make sense, and I know its weird, but I'm THAT excited about this. I'm afraid I will be terribly disappointed if they can't tell the baby's gender for some reason. The whole reason for this sonogram is to check the baby's size and development, so the important thing is that the baby looks healthy. But a very close second is finding out what we're having!! :)

I have been looking at crib bedding online lately. I have seen a lot of girl stuff that I love, but not so much boy stuff. I don't want a "themed" nursery (like animals or cars) and it seems like that's what all the boy stuff is. So I don't know what I'll do for a little guy. I have been absolutely SHOCKED at the prices of crib bedding. We're talking like $400-$600 for all the stuff I have liked!! I think that is ridiculous. It's not even that much fabric! I would feel guilty spending that much on crib bedding. But its so pretty... does anyone know any good places to shop for crib bedding in Jackson? Besides the obvious like Target or Babies R Us. I really want something unique. I may look into having something made. Does anyone know of any reasonable seamstresses who could do something like that?

My pregnancy continues to progress smoothly. It's been wonderful. I really wish one of my friends (my married friends, I mean!) would get pregnant. It would be fun to have someone to talk to who was going through the same thing. I talk to my mom a lot, but it's been 10 years since she has had a baby so she can't remember tons of details, and a lot of stuff has changed since then. So someone else needs to have a baby! Hehe.

Not much else to report. Thank you to those of you who said you like our names. It's nice to get affirmation from our friends and family! :)

Wouldn't we ALL love to do everything on that list?! But it's a good list because the things only take a few minutes. It's just getting up to the willpower to do it! oh, and about wanting a married friend to get pregnant...I'm trying to give my baby itch to Kurt...I'm hoping it catches on...

Carrie! Please put a bug in Rob's ear!! Haha! Better yet, David! I can only say so much about it before he gets annoyed. =) In the good way, of course!

Ha. I told Carrie when she wrote that post that David Arant and Rob would probably be mad at us.

I think that yall should only have kids when both of you are ready. It's a big step and involves giving up lots of stuff you like, so take it seriously. Of course what you gain is better than anything you have to give up.

carrie~

a friend of mine is expecting a little boy and got her bedding at sweet dreams in madison. it cost a lot. anyway - her husband went on e-bay and the same brand (some designer brand) and pattern that they bought full price was rediculously cheap - and brand new!

i pieced mary peyton's together. i got a solid bumper pad and then plaid dust ruffle, etc. but i did do a theme (we didn't know what we were having!!). she has the big long walter anderson 2x2 over her couch and then different letters over her changing table.

good luck!

Thanks for the tip! I'm going to check e-bay on a regular basis!

I'm also going to call and find out how much it would cost to just have something made. I wish I could do it myself. I think that would be really neat. But I can't sew...
