my perspective on so far

This is just kind of my perspective on the pregnancy so far. To me it's a lot less real and personal than it is to Carrie, of course. But when we saw the sonogram and heard the heart beat, that really made it a lot more real. We even saw the little guy wiggle around. That was too cute. It is totally amazing how babies develop. I think he's getting finger nails and toe nails this week, and he's still only about an inch and a half long! This has made Psalm 139 a lot more meaningful to me.

As far as any changes with Carrie, there hasn't been much. She hasn't been sick at all, so that's a great blessing. Her appetite is up a little, but I don't know that I'd even notice without knowing. She has a little bump, but I think it only shows because her stomach was so flat before. She has had a few cravings, but nothing too weird. She seems to want carbs - potatoes, pasta, bread, and such. One night last week she cooked up some French fries about 10:30 at night.

Really, everything is going great. Praise the Lord and keep praying.

Awesome opossum!

Are you bringing Carrie and the baby bump to supper Friday night? :)

Yes, we're looking forward to it.

I love your posts and how you called the baby, "the little guy." So you think it's a boy, huh? :)
Just one little typo in the title - take out "on" or add in "pregnancy" or whatever. Sorry I'm a grammar nerd!

Carrie actually really thinks the baby is a boy. I really have no idea. Using 'guy' was just the generic form (like "Hey you guys").

I disagree with your grammar critique. I'm using 'so far' as my noun for the object of the preposition. As in 'my perspective on [what's going on] so far'.

And if it's not perfect grammar, I think I deserve a break anyway. I was an engineer after all. And besides this is a blog (is that even a word). I think I deserve bonus points for using capitalization, complete sentences, and punctuation.

I'm loving the image of Carrie cooking french fries at 10:30! HA!!! I craved nothing but carbs with Carter... Hmmmmm. I'm kidding. Every pregnancy is different. I cant wait to know what the gender is. David, Daniel loved to hear the heartbeat too. But it's so cool to watch a dad bond with the baby after birth -- Mom has been getting to know this child for nine months. But when Dad gets to hold that baby the first time... it's amazing! Addie would actually turn her head to follow the sound of Daniel's voice when we were in the hospital -- Carter too. We knew it was because she had spent nine months listening to them. So make sure you talk to that baby!

I (Carrie) really think the baby is a boy. I mean, I'm pretty much convinced. But we'll see... maybe since I crave carbs like you did, we will have a super smart child like Carter!
