Life Lately

So, I've been saying that Aubrey has had a cold, but she was on the mend. Well, after a terrible night Monday night, I decided she might not be on the mend after all. She was up so many times I can't even remember how many. She would just sob pitifully. Even though she didn't have any fever on Tuesday, I decided I was taking her to the doctor, and they better be able to give us some medicine for something, darn it! Haha. I'm glad I did, because her right ear was infected. Poor little thing. We got her on an antibiotic, and last night was MUCH better, so hopefully we are on the mend over here! I think we'll be taking her back to the chiropractor soon if David has anything to do with it :-)

Our pediatrician wasn't in the office yesterday, so we saw a different doctor. We had never seen him before, and he was so nice! He literally spent about 30-40 minutes in our room just talking. We talked about everything from my pregnancies (I'm serious) to the difference between a wheeze and croup to antibiotics and how to prevent diaper rash. We love our pediatrician, so we won't be switching to him, but it was nice to know there are still unhurried doctors who take lots of time with their patients. He was talking about having a second child, and how the experience is different from the first. He said with your first child, you think it would be so much easier if you had skill, but you don't, so it's all about survival. With your second, you think it will be easier than it was the first time because you DO have skill this time. He said you quickly learn it's still all about survival at first though. Haha. Can't wait!

Speaking of, I'm 33 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Only 7 weeks to go. I hate to say it, but I'm kind of over being pregnant. I feel fat and hot all the time. It's getting pretty hard to have Aubrey sit in my lap -- it's getting smaller and smaller! On the other hand, I kind of want to keep Jude in my stomach as long as I can. He is just so easy in there! :-) I know he will come at the perfect time, and we will be SO ready to meet him when he does!

I hope Aubrey feels better soon. Its so hard to have a little one who isnt feeling well, esp. when your pregnant! We'll be having our babies within 1-2 weeks of each other! :) And I love the name Jude!

Thanks for the advice. That's what I got from another friend, also, so I think I am going to go with that. We tried it again tonight, and I gave him a full bottle and then cereal and he ate almost all of it. It was so funny because he was smiling and laughing the whole time. Hope all your little family is doing well.
