Thunderstorms

I had to deal with a roach earlier in the week, and last night I had to deal with another one of my biggest fears: a tornado! Actually, it wasn't really a tornado -- it was just a bad thunderstorm that could have produced a tornado, and that caused the tornado sirens to go off. I hate that sound. I especially hate it when I hear that sound at midnight just as I've turned out my lamp to go to sleep. If it had been up to David, I think we would have just rolled over and gone to sleep anyway. But that just doesn't work for me! We had to get up and go watch the weather to figure out of it was safe to go to sleep.

I really thought we should go get Aubrey up, just in case, since her room is on the second floor. David said we should let her sleep since it wasn't actually a tornado. I'm glad we did because she ended up sleeping through the whole thing, and we were all fine. On nights like that, I really wish we had a storm shelter in our backyard!

After my roach post and now this one, yall probably think I am a nut job and need to be on some heavy anxiety medication. Haha. I promise I am a [relatively] normal person and I really am able to live a normal life and function in this world in spite of my crazy fear of roaches and bad weather! :)

I am the same way about storms! I make Clay watch the weather while I pace back and forth wondering if we should put the kids in the bathtub!

I don't think you're crazy at all! Everyone has fears and getting over them is WAY easier said than done. Plus, you're clearly just worried about the well being of you and your family -- nothing wrong with that!! Take it easy Carrie! Hope the roaches and storms go away for a while!
