Decisions, Decisions... Opinions Wanted!

We've had a good, laid back weekend. Yesterday I went shopping, as I always do on Saturday, and I was looking around for a cute Halloween outfit for Aubrey. I found a couple of cute things, but I just couldn't decide! My mom was with me, but she was just NO help! :o) I saw this little ladybug costume that I thought was super cute. She would wear little black tights and shoes, and depending how hot it is, a black shirt underneath. Then there's also this bumblebee costume that she would also wear with black tights. For some reason, I had it in my head that I wanted her to be a bumblebee. But does this look like a little boy?? I found this more girly version of a bumblebee, but I'm hoping it will go on sale. It's sold out in stores, so I haven't seen this one in person. After seeing the ladybug though, maybe I should go in that direction? So, then since I wanted her to look girly, I thought a tutu would be cute. I was looking around and found this ladybug tutu! The best of both worlds I thought. Cute? Well, David said he didn't really think it looks like a costume. I'm not really sure what he's talking about because it's not everyday that our child would be walking around in a ladybug tutu. (Bear in mind that Aubrey should be walking well by Halloween. She is doing pretty good already, so in another month she should be an old pro! I think that little detail effects the costume decision.) So, does anyone have an opinion? Please help! :o)

Changing the subject... This morning before church I was in the kitchen putting something in the crock pot for lunch. Aubrey was playing in the floor. David had cut the grass and worked in the yard yesterday, and he took his nasty yard shoes off and was letting them dry in the floor before he put them up. I looked down this morning and Aubrey had one of his disgusting shoes in her hand and she was licking the bottom!! LICKING it! I freaked out, and immediately washed her mouth out. David thought the whole thing was hilarious. I don't even want to THINK about what could be on those shoes. Nothing is safe around her anymore...

my opinion: one of the bumble bees. I really thought about a bee costume, too! I think the tutu is cute, but I see what David was saying. I think he meant it wasn't a full "ensemble". I'm glad Peyton isn't the only one who is forced to talk about baby attire. The BB costume from gymboree is on sale at the store now ($20-$25, I think). And I'm pretty sure we are going to go with the glow worm and do tights and bows on HER antennas!

Well, I can see the costume thing going either way. I'm a tutu freak, but Evy is going to be a flower (as you've seen), simply because it was given to us. I'm really no help either....I don't think you can go wrong!!

Hi, came over to your blog after you posted on mine...Thanks for commenting. Your sweet little girl is just adorable. I wanted to comment on your chiropractor post...my daughter dealt with constant ear infections and illness her first year of life, and I really didn't want to put tubes in her ears, so I did hours of research and ended up taking her to a chiropractor..it was the best decision I made for her. We did go very often for a few months, but her ailments cleared up and she is so healthy since. Chiropractic adjustments are proven to improve immune systems and help ear infections according to the research I found, and while I'm not going to say it will work for everyone, it definitely worked for us! I hope you have some luck also.

After reading your comments, you will probably be even more confused!! I like the on sale ladybug from children's place- it looks the most comforatable (most babies scream in their costumes anyhow!), the cheapest and the one that will require the least amount of other things. If you fo with the tutu, you are going to have to get tights, a shirt, etc. and it doesn't look as warm!! We usually havea cold front around halloween time!! Whatever you choose I am sure she will be adorable!!

Trying to be the tie-breaker! I vote for the ladybug costume. I think it is cuter than the bees and more of a costume than the tutu (which is adorable). Allie is going to be a lion because I got this amazing costume at a consignment sale that should be like $50 for $8. My husband says it is too gender-neutral so she is going to be a lion with two very large pink bows! Hope this helps!
