Random Bullet Points

  • We had a good but uneventful weekend. I've been antiquing our kitchen cabinets for months (meaning I started painting them months ago, and have since quit working on them). Now that we've decided to have Aubrey's birthday party at home, I'm trying to finish them. I worked on them this weekend. I will definitely post pictures when I (finally!) finish them!
  • I'm planning on making new drapes for our kitchen this week. This is something I've been wanting to do for a while. I bought some super cute fabric at the Cotton Patch in Brookhaven (if you've never been, you HAVE to go!) for $5.00 a yard! What a steal :o) The only problem is that I don't sew. At all. Thankfully, my grandmother is going to "help" me make them :o) Pictures to come of this as well!
  • I've been contemplating getting my hair cut. I'm just tired of it. I tried to cut my own bangs a couple of months ago, and ended up really butchering them. I'm kind of embarrassed to go somewhere and admit that I did them myself! Ha! Although, I'm sure a hairstylist will take one look at them and know I did them myself :/
  • I've been meaning to start exercising. Really, I have. I got the 30 Day Shred a while back and actually did it consistently for a (little) while. I had gotten to the point where I could almost make it through Level 1 without feeling like I was going to die. If any of you have ever done The Shred, you'll know what an accomplishment this is! I haven't done it in months though, and I'm really dreading starting over. I need to. I will. One of these days...
  • Aubrey is taking a nap right now, so I should really be doing something productive -- I guess that's enough randomness for now :o)

I'm in the Shred zone. I did it two days in a row, took yesterday (Sunday) off, and now I'm due to do it again. UGH.

How did I miss that you were redoing your kitchen cabinets?!
