Happy Ten Months!

Aubrey is 10 months old today! I cannot believe that she's double digits now! I'm seeing less and less of a baby when I look at her and more and more of a toddler. She's reached some exciting milestones this month. As we've mentioned before, she's crawling up a storm. She loves nothing better than to be on the floor exploring her world. It's gotten to the point where she really prefers to be on the floor over being held. She's never been a "lap baby" but she's even less so now!

The big milestone this month is that she's pulling up! She doesn't do it all the time, but she's getting better and better at it. Just in the past couple of days she's really started doing it a lot. The other day we were at the pool and she was sitting in the shallow water with my brothers while I put my sunscreen on (and supervised her very closely, of course!) and all of a sudden she grabbed the side of the pool and stood right up! It was so funny and a bit shocking for some reason. There's just something so weird about seeing your baby stand up by herself.

She still has no teeth. Not a single one. She's usually a great sleeper -- she sleeps about 12 hours at night. The past 2 nights though she's been waking up at 1:30. No fun! We're wondering if she may finally be teething?? We'll see. I'm praying that was just a little phase and she'll sleep much better tonight!

I'm still nursing her 3-4 times a day, but we've started supplementing with some formula. I was hoping to be able to avoid this, but she just wasn't getting full anymore. We just offer her a couple of ounces after her afternoon and night feeding to make sure she's full. We're trying to move away from baby food to more table food. We still give her baby food most of the time just because it's easier, especially when we're eating out. She's starting to think she's too big for that stuff though. She changes her mind daily about what she likes. One day she LOVED the banana I gave her -- couldn't eat it fast enough. The next day she wanted nothing to do with it. That silly girl! :o) Hopefully this month we will move entirely to table food. Last night we ate at Amerigo and she had her first taste of spaghetti. She loved it! She's developing good taste already -- just wait until she can try the tiramisu ;o) Haha.

She loves to "talk." She gives kisses, but only when she's in the right mood. Sometimes she'll give them to me without me even asking. I LOVE her sweet, slobbery kisses! She waves and will even say "bye-bye" as she waves. It's too cute!

Her hair is getting longer. She'll keep a bow in it for about about... oh, 10 seconds or so :o) It's starting to get a little curl to it. I think she's going to have her daddy's hair! She's so smiley and fun, and we are just so in love with her!
