For the past month or so, Aubrey has really started "talking." She has become very vocal. It's really cute and pretty funny too. She likes to squeal at the top of her lungs when she gets excited. The other day we were in the grocery store in the produce section. There was a young guy restocking some things, and just as we came up behind him, Aubrey let out one of her ear piercing squeals. He must have jumped a mile and put his hand to his heart. He kept saying over and over, "Man, that scared me! That scared me so bad!" It was pretty hilarious. I apologized, and he said he thought it was a big cat coming up behind him. What?? Apparently my child sounds like a scary cat when she gets excited. Haha.
She's also been saying "da da" for a while. Of course she's just babbling and doesn't really mean to say "daddy." I still think it's precious and was a little jealous that she wouldn't say "mama." Well, she's starting saying mama! It's really too cute. The only problem is that she says dada when she's happy and in a great mood, and she's been saying mama when she's fussy and on the verge of a meltdown. Not sure how to take that? Haha. It's not like she's really calling me - again, she's just babbling, but there is something so sweet about hearing your child say "mama" for the first time. I'll take it however it comes. :o)

Just wait until she says mama and knows that she's calling you. There's nothing like it!
