Boy or Girl?

David and I are in Jackson Hole right now. We're having a fun, relaxing time. We have been looking at our baby name book, and I think we're coming close to making some decisions! We're not telling just yet though. :)

However, one thing we DO NOT agree on is the baby's gender. We do agree that we would be thrilled with either a boy or a girl. But I am completely convinced that we're having a boy. Seriously, I would be shocked if we found out it was a girl. David, on the other hand, says its a girl. I have to say though, he doesn't really have a "feeling" that the baby is a girl, he is just taking the opposite position as me. When we talk about the baby, I always say "he" and David always says "she." It makes things a bit confusing sometimes.

We even have a bet going. Anyone else want to join in on our bet? I'm sure none of you have any strong feelings about what the baby is, but neither does David, for that matter. So if you just want to guess, it might be fun. We're hoping to find out the end of April, if all goes according to plan. I can't wait to go buy that first little boy outfit...

Hey y'all,
What an exciting time for both of you. Just a word on how to solve your gender identity issues...LOL. Rachel and I had similar issues, so we decided on shehe (said exactly as it looks)as we referred to the girls before we met them...both were a mystery until they popped out!

I don't want to take sides, here, but I think it's a girl. I'll tell you why when we all have dinner! And as you know, we HAVE to have dinner soon because "your lonely child, Carter" misses David soooooooooooo much! :)

I like the 'shehe' idea. I like that the 'she' is first.

I think the baby is a boy, but I'm not 100%. David, I hope you're right!!

i saw your blog on ashley lancaster's.....sorry to stalk!

my husband and i have an almost 3 year old little girl - and we didn't find out the sex! it was so much fun.

i was convinced that "it" was a boy and he said girl from the minute we found out we were pregnant.

then - on my 39 week sonogram to make sure the baby was head down and "ready to go", they estimated my child to be 10 1/2 lbs give or take a pound. that's when i said it was definately a boy.

mary peyton was born the next day weighing in at 9 1/2 lbs.

good luck on the rest of your pregnancy!!!!!

Thanks for the comment! I am so not a surprise person, so I HAVE to know if the baby is a boy or girl. But I bet is is exciting to wait.

Haha, I guess that just goes to show you can never be sure. I have thought this baby is a boy from day one, so I can't wait to find out if I'm right!

If I'm not right, I'll gladly admitt I was wrong and be thrilled about my baby girl!

Carrie and David,
I finally got around to reading your blognotes, but I read all of them. Better late than never, huh? I am betting with Carrie that it is a boy! I did notice that David used the male pronoun in his comments about the sonogram. I think it sooo much better to find out what the sex is so you can plan a gender specific room and not have to buy generic baby clothes! Melanie

Yay! I'm so glad someone finally agrees with me! Besides my mom, who only agreed half-heartedly. I'm glad you read our blog!
